D-2-7 (Work-Study Linked Study) Korea Visa Guide | 2026
D-2-7 (일-학습연계 유학) is the work-study linked study code within the D-2 status. Unlike the plain degree codes it describes study coupled with linked work or training, rather than enrolment alone.
D-2-7 sits in the manual's D-2 code table alongside the degree courses — D-2-1 associate, D-2-2 bachelor's, D-2-3 master's, D-2-4 doctoral — and the non-degree codes D-2-5 research, D-2-6 exchange student and D-2-8 visiting student. It is the code for study organised on a work-and-learning linked basis.
2. Eligibility Checklist
Admitted to a work-study linked programme rather than a plain degree course — for the latter use D-2-1 to D-2-4 according to level.
The host institution is a junior college or above, or an affiliated research institution, meeting the Ministry of Justice's requirements and registered in the foreign-student information system.
Holds a standard admission letter (표준입학허가서) issued by the university's president or dean.
Academic evidence appropriate to the level being entered, following the same rules as the corresponding degree code.
Can evidence funding for tuition and living costs; where a parent's bank balance is used, family relationship documents are required too.
The institution is not one of the excluded types — distance universities, lifelong-education institutions, polytechnic vocational courses, or unapproved night programmes.
